*Antarctica is calling*
My journey to Antarctica begins in 24 days. I can't believe that I will soon be at the end of the world. In the truest sense of the word.
Because Ushuaia, the place where I will board the ship, is "El fin del mundo".
The crossing through the Drake Passage takes around two days.
In the Antarctic peninsula I will explore the white continent as part of a group of (australian) photographers, guided by the award winning photographers Lewis Burnett and Andrew J. Clark.
Can‘t wait to meet these guys, learn from them, improve my photography skills.
Icebergs, penguins, seals (hopefully leopard seals) and whales.
My dream of following the whales is coming true. The Southern humpback whales, which I was able to see up close in Tonga in 2023, migrate to Antarctica from October to May.
It's one of the world's largest and longest animal migrations.
Who knows, I might even be lucky enough to see one of the two albino babies that were spotted in tonga a few months ago.
I'm very excited, so curious and nervous.
When was the last time you fulfilled a dream?
