During the first six months of the year I went freediving under ice a couple of times. That was pretty amazing and so much fun. These were the moments I was able to calm down my mind – well most of the time. I tend to say freediving saved my life 4 years ago… and now during the last months it was once again a very (or maybe the most) important part in my life.
My last ice diving session was in June actually. We went to a lake which is 2383m above sealevel. The lake was still partly covered with thick ice and it was lots of fun to dive from one whole to the next.
It was cloudy and 7 degrees, the water temperature was around 3 degrees.
since I’m totally in love with diving under ice I can‘t wait for the next opportunity even if I dislike winter.
My trip to Tonga, Fiji and Australia is postponed due to this C-Virus thing. That means no big travel plans for this year… but postponed is not cancelled. Lets hope for the best.
Instead of my trip to the whales I’ll
use the time to do further courses with the goal to become an instructor for basic freediving.
